Murals and Public Art

My hand-painted murals are each made

with intention and love.

Murals are the best way to bring an engaging and vibrant touch to any environment, instantly capturing attention and sparking conversation. They will leave a memorable impression, and I take care and pride in thoughtfully designing each one to align with your unique vision and objectives.

I offer two different kinds of valuable mural opportunities:

Custom commercial / residential murals

For my individual mural projects, I work closely with you to bring a custom design to life, personally painting every detail (sometimes with the help of a trusted assistant).

I love the magic of turning a plain wall into a window for the imagination.

Whether it’s abstract colors and shapes, or a calming nature scene, I work to bring new life and energy to any schools, nurseries, homes, offices, etc.!

How can I help bring new life to your space?

Collaborative community murals

I work with you to create a design we are both happy about, and then I lead students (of all ages and abilities) to come together to create a shared piece of art.

I use my skills as a multilingual teacher to cultivate an environment where people feel welcome and encouraged to participate. Together, we turn public spaces into accessible landmarks that celebrate diversity, connection, and the artist in everyone.

Let’s create something beautiful together!

let’s dive in…

  • step one

We connect and begin by learning more about the goals of your project! I will want to learn all about your vision, goals, location, budget, and timeframe.

From there, we will work together to envision your dream mural!

  • step two

I assess the space either in person or from a photo. After calculating the square footage I will create a quote and proposal.

Once the agreement is signed and the deposit is made, then the fun begins!

  • step three

I get to work - I hand draw and design a mockup to scale, showing roughly how the mural would look like in your space!

You will receive 1-2 concepts and, if needed, 1-2 rounds of revisions.

  • step four

    Paint Day!!!

Depending on the size and detailing required, painting could last anywhere between 1 - 7 days.

Testimonials

“Anna did an exceptional job engaging our families in the process of creating a community mural that represented our school theme "Better Together", interwoven with honoring our Hmong Immersion program. This project brought together families from different backgrounds and languages to create a meaningful piece that will stay on our walls as a reminder of the power of community and how collaboration and togetherness make us stronger. This mural is absolutely beautiful! We can't thank Anna enough for all her hard work on this project.”

- Melissa Houde, Principal of Richardson Elementary School (2026)

"As Principal of Sleepy Eye Elementary School, I’m grateful for Anna’s outstanding work on the two-wall mural outside our cafeteria. She collaborated closely with our team and HACER to honor our community’s Hispanic heritage and reflect our values of individualized education and equitable opportunity through her artwork. Anna traveled from the Twin Cities; she was punctual, kind, and easy to work with, and her talent is evident looking at the final result. She took feedback from school leadership, HACER, and the local community and incorporated it into the murals. The murals have transformed the hallway—students, families, and staff love them. We’ve heard wonderful feedback across the school and community about her artwork. Thank you, Anna!"

- Ben Westphal, Principal of Sleepy Eye Elementary School (2025)

“Thank you, Anna, for your incredible work and dedication in creating this beautiful community mural. Your effort and talent are clearly reflected in the final result: a mural that celebrates the flora and birds of Latin American countries, as well as highlighting the core values to foster inclusive spaces. On behalf of myself and HACER, we deeply thank you for collaborating with us in the development of this art and culture project.”
